2/2 business card with rounded corners on 140lb. pure white french paper. both sides are knockout prints and both sides have a spot clear acrylic gloss coat. the light reflects this in different ways. the photo was taken so you can see the gloss coat quite well. definitely one of my favorite cards based on the idea to print.
2/0 print with Edge Painting. the difference between a card like this with and without edge painting is EXTREMELY different. since it’s such a bright red on a bright white stock, the painted edges show up a LOT more on the individual card. thanks to jeremy cooper for being my first client to get this new service!
2/1 card on various stocks. this was a design and the card was featured on FPO.
1/2 print. version #2 of my company business card. this version is blue and black on 140lb. pure white paper. we’ve been experimenting with edge painting over the last few days, so next i’ll post the version of this card with yellow edges.
1/2 card for my CD/DVD duplication and screen printing company. designed and printed by our intern (at the time), Brittany Slopey. this is color/paper combo #1, kraft chipboard with white and black ink. i’ll post the other color with reverse side soon.
1/1 card for randy coleman photography. this card is really small. i love the dimensions of this even though i am not personally a fan of small cards.
2/0 print designed by us. we printed this card twice with the same screen and the second time it came out really distressed because of the previous use. we liked the effect so much we actually do this at various times for our own prints. we call it printing with a dirty screen.
2/1 print on 140lb. bright white paper. the client initially had this as a 3/2 print and i was able to make it work better as 2/1 which also saved the client money. the text on this came out surprisingly well as i thought it would bleed into itself a lot more on the purple only side.
side note: thanks to everyone who started following this blog! it’s great to see people that also have a passion for design/print as i tend to think i’m a big nerd for liking such things. please feel free to share this blog and repost cards you think are totally rad.
2/1 print on 0.30 kraft chipboard with rounded corners.
